There is a $100 class transfer fee should you cancel within the 2 weeks prior to the class start date and a $200 class transfer fee should you cancel within 5 days to the class start date. There is no guarantee that any future classes will have availability but each class does have a waiting list available.
Students attending a USTI virtual course must be paid in full to register for their AMCA exam. Each student must also be registered for their AMCA exam one week prior to the USTI course start date in order to take their exam right after the class. Each course has a pre-scheduled 7–10-day testing window post-class to take their exam each month so ProctorU is able to pre-schedule and monitor each student’s AMCA exam. If the student does not register for their exam one week prior to the class start date, they will not be able to take their AMCA exam until 7 days after they register, and it still must be in the 7-10 post-course testing window after the exam. If the student misses the pre-scheduled testing window, they will have to wait until next month or another month’s pre-scheduled testing window provided by AMCA and ProctorU.
The USTI Educator will make sure these important points below are discussed prior to starting the virtual class so each attendee is aware of how the class will be conducted and how you will be responding to student questions and concerns. These rules were created and put into place to ensure each student receives full detailed teaching by the Educator with few interruptions. USTI reserves the right to hold or remove any attendee from any USTI class should these rules below not be followed. Should the attendee not agree or follow the class rules they will be removed from the class. All student’s mics will be turned off during class presentation– The organizer & presenter have the control of turning all other mics off. Whoever the Educator is during the class will need to make sure this is done and turned off. NO disruptions during the class presentation- This is not a time for student-to-student discussion. The educator has a timed agenda to follow for all USTI classes. If the student does have a question, it needs to be noted by the student and presented to the Educator during the correct time (Q&A class discussion. GoToMeeting chatbox- The chat box is to ONLY be used during Educator-approved class discussion and Q&A time. USTI will allow the few students that do not have a microphone to use the provided chat box so they are able to ask questions, etc.
Non-USTI students have been logging into USTI Q&As and wasting our Students' time. Anyone logging into the USTI Q&A must type in their full name as they register with USTI. Anyone who doesn’t will be terminated out of the Q&A.
To attend the weekly USTI Q&A, you will need to meet the following criteria. Due to the high volume of fundamental questions in the Q&A, we have added some restrictions and guidelines that each attendee must follow when attending the intermediate or advanced Q&A. The goal of our weekly Q&A is to provide advanced knowledge and information to help each student further their Trichology education. Each attendee must have completed a USTI virtual or online class and finished it within two years and still be registered as an active USTI member. Completing the USTI Continuing Education course is a prerequisite for keeping your USTI certificate and membership active and valid for two more years. All USTI students who have become Retail/Signature salons or HLCC affiliates with XTC/HLCC remain eligible as long as they are active. If we have many requests for a once-a-month basic Q&A, we will consider it. Send emails to info@ https://ustrichology.org/
Basic – I don’t know the basics taught in the one—and two-day class, and I need to rewatch the free online videos to refresh my memory before asking questions that most of the Students on the Q&A already know.
Intermediate – I can speak and understand the basics of hair loss, including how alopecia is present on the head, its causes, and the definition of alopecia reasonably well. I can provide the basic information from the client’s consolation form, with photos to help with the possible diagnosis from the USTI educator.
Advanced – I can speak and understand the most common and less common alopecia and scalp conditions, how they present on the head, and their causes. I have current clients who are seeking help or a professional opinion. I want to further advance my services, especially in microneedling and professional growth factors.

USTI® provides training that we feel is the best available, and even though some of our trainers may have state education training or certifications, USTI® does not claim to provide any city, state, US government, foreign government or medical accreditation or licensing. We only provide certifications about the knowledge we teach. Most of our Course are certified by the American Medical certification association who certificate number medical certification for several states, this however doesn’t in any way imply that USTI or AMCA certification in Trichology gives you any ability to do anything in any state or country that requires cosmetic or medical licensure. Specifically, USTI or AMCA certification does not allow you to do any cosmetic service or medical services, these are only granted by the appropriate city, state or governmental body that governs your area. Trichology, again depending on your local laws that we do not claim to know, helps you have knowledge to better recommend cosmetic solutions (not medical solutions) and better educate your clients to their needs and explain (not diagnose, medical treat or cure) the current situation on their head and scalp. The information posted here, in our training materials or elsewhere by USTI® or any third party should not be considered medical advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultations with qualified medical health professionals. USTI® does not answer specific questions on treating hair loss only helping you understand it, so you can make cosmetic recommendations. USTI® expressly disclaims liability for errors or omissions in this information and materials. Any recommendations of Trichologists or graduates by USTI is purely for cosmetic not medical reasons. No warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, is given in conjunction with the information and materials. Your response to this information and material is entirely beyond USTI®‘s control and USTI® rejects any responsibility/liability for your actions, and any subsequent actions by other persons at your behest, directly or indirectly associated with this USTI® website and the information and material posted here.
The Graduate and Members databases are produced by the USTI® as references of professional information on individual USTI® Members who have successfully completed the course of study of each of the different business development classes. The word Graduate means only that the person completed USTI®’s course of study for that class and does not imply any degrees or credits from any city, state, county, country, or other institution, education or not, just USTI® class completion. The USTI® databases are only intended to provide the public with quick access to information on USTI® Members who have successfully completed the course of study for the different classes or are members. Neither this list nor database nor any of their listings, data, or other elements may be downloaded, duplicated, or republished, in whole or in part, for commercial purposes, for purposes of compiling mailing lists, or for any other purposes without the prior express written permission of the USTI®. Although USTI® uses its best efforts to keep the information contained in its Graduate and Members database accurate, the USTI® does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the information contained in this database, website, or in any way endorse the individuals described therein. In no event, should you make a decision based on this Graduate and Members listing, the database of website material; and if no way shall the USTI® be liable for any decision made or action taken by a person or companies, etc. named in this Graduate and Members lists or database, or by the material on this site. By no means does USTI® imply that its members or graduates are participating in any form of medical training or training to provide medical services and/or practices to the public by their participation in our business development training seminars. USTI® makes no claim(s) or representation in knowing the individual City, State, Government, or Country licensing requirements, within the territory you reside and if its members or graduates may provide any services even cosmetic services. Again, each area has its own laws for everything, and USTI® does not claim these classes are cosmetology, medically or otherwise sanctioned in any way, in any area.
