Getting started
USTI offers different starting points for different professional backgrounds. Speak with the admissions team about your experience, goals, and the entry requirements for the course you are considering.
Your starting point depends on your background and goals. The team can help you compare foundational courses with the Hair Loss Practitioner, Associate Trichologist, and clinical training pathways.
Ask the admissions team about the format and schedule of your chosen course. USTI offers a range of educational experiences, so you can explore what fits your current commitments.
Training and clinicals
Clinical training brings learning into practical settings through consultations, case discussions, and guided activities. The USTI team can explain the prerequisites and what to expect before you enroll.
Support after your course
USTI supports ongoing learning through its professional community, educational resources, and questions and answers sessions. Ask which resources are included with your program.

Yes. Private coaching is available with Tere Pruett, Maurice L. McClain, and Andrew Ashby, covering clinic setup, running a trichology business, and marketing.
Financing and payments
You can pay for your course over time with four providers. Each provider shows you its terms before you commit.

If you set up a payment plan directly with USTI, pay your next installment online at ustipayment.com. Enter the amount due on your plan and complete checkout. The minimum payment is $50.
Scope of practice
No. Trichology certification does not confer a medical license. Your work must remain within your existing professional license and applicable scope of practice, including referring medical concerns to an appropriately licensed clinician.
